Philippa’s Biography
Born in Hertfordshire in 1983, Philippa lived in a number of rural locations in and around Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.
After studying Politics at the University of Sussex in Brighton, she moved to London to seek broader employment opportunities in 2006.
She has worked in a number of positions, including kitchen porter, postwoman, cinema usher then manager, and comedy club hostess, before joining one of the country’s biggest political news and monitoring agencies. She moved from this in April 2008 and now works as a Policy and Government Affairs Advisor in the Housing sector. Her work focuses mainly on policy issues relating to low carbon housing, consumer protection and the development of skills and training.
Philippa currently rents a room in Camden, North London. Frequently in the constituency, Philippa is hosted by local party members who generously make her feel at home. Philippa has publicly pledged to move to the constituency when she (hopefully) wins the election.
Philippa has four siblings, two nieces and a nephew.

Philippa was selected by the local CLP to be the Labour Party Parliamentary Candidate for the Constituency of St Ives in May 2008.
